Sendai virus

Sendai virus
Parainfluenza virus type 1 (Paramyxoviridae). Can cause fatal pneumonia in mice, and may cause respiratory disease in humans. The ability of ultraviolet-inactivated virus to fuse mammalian cells has been extensively used in the study of heterokaryons and hybrid cell lines.
